It’s getting closer to the summer holidays and so for me that means starting my new beauty regime to prep for the sun and the sea a month before my trip. What about you? Do you do change your routine before your trips?
In this post I will be sharing with you the products that I use and what I do differently before a beach holiday. Please feel free to share with me any tips you might have!
I start by having a bath and adding some drops of my Elemental Herbology Detox Botanical Bathing Infusion Bath Oil 150 ml. It has a very nice citric scent and it leaves my skin feeling soft thanks to the sweet almond, jojoba and peach kernel ingredients. It relaxes me before bed time and I feel lighter thanks to the grapefruit and juniper which help stimulate circulation and reduce fluid retention.
Then I exfoliate my body with GOMMAGE CRUSHED CABERNET 150G. It has a great texture and it’s super nourishing for my dry skin. If you are precious about your natural tan you will know that the softer and the most uniform your skin is, the longer, dazzling and homogenous your tan will be.
How can you achieve this? Simply exfoliating your body once per week will get rid of the dead cells and will make your tan last longer. If you don’t have an exfoliating product at home simply add brown sugar to your soap and gently massage your body.
If you also want to exfoliate your face you should use specific products that are more gentle to your skin. In my case I don’t exfoliate the skin on my face as it’s too sensitive so always ask your dermatologist in case of doubts.
Finally I apply Kiehl’s Creme de Corps Soy Milk & Honey Whipped Body Butter 226g/8oz
to my body. I love the fluffy texture, almost like a mousse, that’s quickly absorbed by my skin and which leaves it deeply nourished. If you like sweet and pleasant smells this is highly addictive!
Moving on to the feet I firstly exfoliate them using my Scholl Velvet Smooth Diamond Pedi Electric Hard Skin Remover gently rotating the file over hard skin to remove the dead skin. I then apply Prismologie Foot Cream to nourish my skin with a calming scent. This way you can ensure that your feet look nice in sandals.
The last thing that I do before bed time is apply PHILIP B Rejuvenating Oil 60 ml on my dry hair. I apply some drops from the half point of each hair to the ends, then I heat my hair with a hair-drier for 5 minutes to make sure that the oil is well absorbed and then I leave it over night. After a few applications my hair feels bouncier, softer and shinier. This is a product that I also take with me during my holidays as it helps the hair recover after a day in the sun. If your hair is damaged give this product a go!
I tend to do this ritual on Sunday night to prepare me for the following week. I feel so relaxed after all this pampering that I can barely get through a couple of pages of my book at night time before I drop off!
